Bells Mill/Potomac Campus

Georgetown Hill’s main campus was built in 1992 (and expanded in 1998) through a unique public-private partnership involving Montgomery County Public Schools, the State of Maryland, and private sources. In 1994, GHES received approval to operate as a non-public school under the Maryland State Department of Education. All of our head teachers have college degrees, and all our staff receives yearly continued education and First Aid and CPR training.

Ellen Cromwell, Founder/Principal of GHES, is the director of the Bells Mill/Potomac Campus campus and the Master Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten program. Over the last fifteen years, Georgetown Hill’s Bells Mill Campus has become an integral part of the Potomac community.

This campus features:

  • Eight classrooms, arranged to be inviting, home-like, and stimulating
  • Three separate playgrounds in a woodsy, park-like environment
  • A diverse, international community of children and staff
  • Weekly specialist programs in Physical Education, Music, and Spanish included in morning programs
  • Optional clinic programs, offered on-site, following school programs, including Cooking, Soccer, Gymnastics, Basketball, and Science
  • Transportation to and from our Woodley Gardens/Rockville Campus

Georgetown Hill’s Bells Mill Campus offers the following programs:

  • Morning programs (9:00-12:30) for children ages two, three, and four (Pre-K)
  • All-day (9:00-3:00) Transitional-Kindergarten program
  • Before and After-School programs for preschool children as well as school-age children (Kindergarten through fifth grade)
  • Convenient hours of operation, 7:30am-6:30pm and flexible scheduling options
  • Weekly summer camp sessions for preschool children and transportation to our Woodley Gardens Campus for our school-age camp programs.

Celebrating over a quarter century of service to the community!
